* set_elem: Introduce support for NFTNL_SET_ELEM_KEY_ENDHEADmasterStefano Brivio13 days1-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The new set element attribute maps to the netlink attribute NFTA_SET_ELEM_KEY_END in the same way as NFTNL_SET_ELEM_KEY maps to NFTA_SET_ELEM_KEY, and represents the key data used to express the upper bound of a range, in concatenations. * set: Add support for NFTA_SET_DESC_CONCAT attributesStefano Brivio13 days1-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If NFTNL_SET_DESC_CONCAT data is passed, pass that to the kernel as NFTA_SET_DESC_CONCAT attributes: it describes the length of single concatenated fields, in bytes. Similarly, parse NFTA_SET_DESC_CONCAT attributes if received from the kernel. This is the libnftnl counterpart for nftables patch: src: Add support for NFTNL_SET_DESC_CONCAT v4: - move NFTNL_SET_DESC_CONCAT to the end of enum nftnl_set_attr to avoid ABI breakage (Pablo Neira Ayuso) v3: - use NFTNL_SET_DESC_CONCAT and NFTA_SET_DESC_CONCAT instead of a stand-alone NFTA_SET_SUBKEY attribute (Pablo Neira Ayuso) - pass field length in bytes instead of bits, fields would get unnecessarily big otherwise v2: - fixed grammar in commit message - removed copy of array bytes in nftnl_set_nlmsg_build_subkey_payload(), we're simply passing values to htonl() (Phil Sutter) Signed-off-by: Stefano Brivio <sbrivio@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* Deprecate untyped data settersPhil Sutter2019-10-311-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | These functions make assumptions on size of passed data pointer and therefore tend to hide programming mistakes. Instead either one of the type-specific setters or the generic *_set_data() setter should be used. Signed-off-by: Phil Sutter <phil@nwl.cc> Acked-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set_elem: Validate nftnl_set_elem_set() parametersPhil Sutter2019-10-161-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Copying from nftnl_table_set_data(), validate input to nftnl_set_elem_set() as well. Given that for some attributes the function assumes passed data size, this seems necessary. Since data size expected for NFTNL_SET_ELEM_VERDICT attribute is sizeof(uint32_t), change type of 'verdict' field in union nftnl_data_reg accordingly. Signed-off-by: Phil Sutter <phil@nwl.cc> Acked-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set: Export nftnl_set_list_lookup_byname()Phil Sutter2019-10-101-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | Rename and optimize internal function nftnl_set_lookup() for external use. Just like with nftnl_chain_list, use a hash table for fast set name lookups. Signed-off-by: Phil Sutter <phil@nwl.cc> Acked-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* include: missing C++ linkage in headersPablo Neira Ayuso2018-07-031-0/+8
| | | | | | | | A few files (batch.h / common.h / set.h / udata.h) are missing the usual. Closes: https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1268 Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>

| | | | | | | This patch adds code to allocate set handles and delete sets via set handle. Signed-off-by: Harsha Sharma <harshasharmaiitr@gmail.com>
* src: get rid of aliases and compatPablo Neira Ayuso2016-12-201-136/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | This machinery was introduced to avoid sudden compilation breakage of old nftables releases. With the upcoming release of 0.7 (and 0.6 which is now 6 months old) this is not required anymore. Moreover, users gain nothing from older releases since they are half-boiled and buggy. So let's get rid of aliases now. Bump LIBVERSION and update map file. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set_elem: add NFTNL_SET_ELEM_OBJREF attributePablo Neira Ayuso2016-12-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | This new attribute allows us to attach stateful objects to elements for map lookups. This new attribute identifies the object through its name. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set: add NFTNL_SET_OBJ_TYPE attributePablo Neira Ayuso2016-12-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | | This new attribute specifies the stateful object type this set stores. Similar to data type, but specific to store objects. You must set the NFT_SET_OBJECT flag to use this. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* src: Constify iteratorsCarlos Falgueras García2016-08-101-8/+8
| | | | | | | | Iterators do not modify objects which they iterate, so input pointer must be const. Signed-off-by: Carlos Falgueras García <carlosfg@riseup.net> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set: Add new attribute into 'set' to store user dataCarlos Falgueras García2016-07-011-0/+1
| | | | | | | | The new structure 'user' holds a pointer to user data and its length. The kernel must have the flag NFTA_SET_USERDATA to support this feature. Signed-off-by: Carlos Falgueras García <carlosfg@riseup.net> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* src: return value on setters that internally allocate memoryPablo Neira Ayuso2016-06-151-6/+6
| | | | | | | | So the client can bail out of memory allocation errors. Or in case of daemon, make sure things are left in consistent state before bailing out. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* libnftnl: constify object arguments to various functionsPatrick McHardy2016-05-091-12/+12
| | | | | | | | | flow table support needs constant object arguments to printing functions to avoid ugly casts. While at it, also constify object arguments to message construction, destructor and a few helper functions. * src: get rid of _attr_ infix in new nftnl_ definitionsPablo Neira Ayuso2015-09-071-22/+22
| | | | | | | The function names are already large, trim off the _ATTR_ infix in the attribute definitions. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* src: get rid of _ATTR_ infix in new nfntl_ definitionsPablo Neira Ayuso2015-09-071-25/+25
| | | | | | | The constant names are already large, trim off the _ATTR_ infix in the attribute definitions. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* src: add compat header file definitionsPablo Neira Ayuso2015-09-071-0/+136
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch restores the original nft_* definitions from the header files to avoid sudden compilation breakage of the existing clients of this library. Then, moving forward the idea is to deprecate the old nft_* symbols anytime soon using __attribute__((deprecated)) from the header files to warn our users that they need to update their code. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* src: rename existing functions to use the nftnl_ prefixPablo Neira Ayuso2015-09-071-95/+95
| | | | | | | | | So we can use the nft_* prefix anytime soon for our upcoming higher level library. After this patch, the nft_* symbols become an alias of the nftnl_* symbols. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>

* ruleset: fix crash if we free sets included in the set_listAlvaro Neira2015-02-241-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When we parse a ruleset which has a rule using a set. First step is to parse the set, set up an ID and add it to a set list. Later, we use this set list to find the set associated to the rule and we set up the set ID to the expression (lookup expression) of the rule. The problem is that if we return this set to the callback function nft_ruleset_parse_file_cb() and we free this set, we have a crash when we try to iterate in the set list. This patch solves it, cloning the set and adding the new set to the set list. Signed-off-by: Alvaro Neira Ayuso <alvaroneay@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set_elem: add nft_set_elems_nlmsg_build_payload_iter()Pablo Neira Ayuso2014-07-251-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | This new interface allows you to put as many set elements as possible into a netlink message. The iterator stores the last element that has fit into a netlink message, so you can continue adding more set elements across several netlink messages. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set: add support for set mechanism selectionArturo Borrero2014-07-241-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support to select the set mechanism. The kernel support was added in commit: c50b960 netfilter: nf_tables: implement proper set selection Signed-off-by: Arturo Borrero Gonzalez <arturo.borrero.glez@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set: add set ID supportPablo Neira Ayuso2014-05-191-0/+1
| | | | | | | Add the set ID (u32) which allows us to uniquely identify the set in the batch that is sent to kernel-space. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* set_elems: delete unexisting exported symbolArturo Borrero2014-03-261-2/+0
| | | | | | | There is no function called 'nft_set_elem_nlmsg_parse()' Signed-off-by: Arturo Borrero Gonzalez <arturo.borrero.glez@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* src: add nft_*_attr_{set|get}_data interfacePablo Neira Ayuso2014-02-271-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds two functions that allows you to validate the size of the attribute. This new functions provide a replacement for nft_rule_attr_set and nft_rule_attr_get. The data_len parameter was already passed to the {_set|_get} funcion in expressions. For consistency, add nft_rule_expr_{set|get}_data alias. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
* src: early attribute type validation in nft_*_attr_setPablo Neira Ayuso2014-02-271-0/+2
| | | | | | | | This allows us to remove the default case in the switch, which show help to spot missing attribute support since gcc will spot a compilation warning. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
